Hydrasperse®

Hydrasperse is designed for use primarily in high carbonate base coating applications where kaolin is used to improve coating viscosity and water retention properties. It can also be used as a filler material in mechanical papers to improve brightness and opacity of the base sheet and reduce the porosity, creating a more uniform base sheet for coating.

• Balanced Particle Size: Broad particle distribution provides good performance in base coat applications with carbonate creating a well-packed coating that reduces binder migration and improves top coat hold out in coated board applications.
• Versatile Use Across Grades: Performing well in base coating applications, Hydrasperse can also be used as a filler in wood containing papers to improve opacity and brightness and reduce paper porosity for better coating hold out. Can also be used as a co-piment in specialty grades to engineer particle packing to drive smoothness or other key properties.
