In the United States, the state of Georgia is home to North America’s most abundant kaolin deposits. As the Georgia clay belt stretches from west to east, the kaolin deposits progressively become finer and brighter. This geological diversity makes Georgia one of the world’s premier sources for kaolin. KaMin is the only producer with plants in the distinctly different crude regions of this belt, enabling us to deliver an unparalleled range of kaolin grades to our customers. Once extracted, the kaolin particles are sent to one of our five Georgia plants to go through a well-defined, intricate process to engineer our products for optimum performance.
